Begin with the prologue
The prologue introduces the protagonist, the town and the main story. Finish the opening sequence before expecting most side routes to begin. Save at the end of the introduction so you have a clean point to revisit.
Use a repeatable daily loop
- Check the in-game phone for current hints.
- Pick one story or character route to follow for a few in-game days.
- Visit the relevant location at the appropriate time.
- Complete the listed prerequisite before expecting the next event.
- Save before major decisions or a version change.
If the next event does not appear
Route progress may depend on a previous conversation, an item, a stat or another story arc. Check the last completed event rather than guessing from a screenshot. In Stable, overlapping routes can sometimes affect each other; Preview may have a different sequence entirely.
A simple progression example
Suppose a phone hint points toward a character at school. First check whether it is a school day and whether the character is present at the time shown in your current build. If the conversation does not appear, review the preceding task in that same route, including any item or attribute requirement. Return after the prerequisite is complete. This sequence helps separate a missed step from a technical error without claiming a particular route order for every version.
Keep a useful save history
Make a fresh save after the prologue and another before committing to a lengthy route. Give your backups a branch and version label outside the game. A save from Stable may not behave the same way in Preview, so copying the save first makes troubleshooting much easier. The save-file guide lists the locations to check by platform.
Choose the correct route guide
The character directory groups the main routes and explains what to check. Use the location guide when you cannot find a place, and the stats guide when a requirement blocks progress.
