Summertime Saga Updates: How to Read Build Changes

Read release notes by branch

First confirm whether a note describes Stable or Preview. The Preview branch is being rebuilt with a newer interface and upgraded art; its changelog includes bug fixes, route work and technical changes. The Stable branch retains more completed legacy content.

Before an update

1. Record your current branch and build identifier.
2. Back up the save directory and keep the original copy.
3. Check whether a route you are playing is available in the destination build.
4. Update only after the file source and package details are confirmed.
5. Open the game and check a copied save before removing the previous installation.

After an update

If an event appears missing, it may have moved, been reworked or not yet been ported to Preview. Check the matching walkthrough before treating it as a bug. For crashes and installation problems, use the error guide.
