Pick the matching desktop build

The official game page lists desktop releases for Windows/Linux and macOS. The Stable and Preview branches differ in content and interface, so decide which branch you want before preparing the installer. A mod APK made for Android is not a native Windows or Mac package.

Windows and Linux setup

1. Confirm the package is for your operating system and note its branch and version.
2. Save a copy of your existing game saves before replacing an installation.
3. Extract the archive into a normal folder you can access, then launch the game executable.
4. If a security prompt appears, verify the file’s source before deciding whether to proceed.

macOS setup

Use the macOS build intended for your machine. Open the package according to its included instructions and check system security prompts carefully. Keep the original archive until you confirm the game launches and your save files are available.

Where are saves?

Save paths vary by platform and build. Windows installations may use both the game folder and the Ren’Py directory under AppData; macOS commonly uses a Ren’Py folder in Library. See the backup guide before moving a save between builds.
